C.S. Lewis, a romance writer?!

Just returned from watching Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. As a movie, it was great!! The cinematic view, the pace, the humour, the subtle Christian messages…  even the romance.

Yes, you read it right. C.S. Lewis’ story has ROMANCE in it! Obviously C.S. Lewis didn’t write the romance. I mean, can you picture him writing those interested glances, the lines full of flirting and a kiss initiated by a lady? I got to admit, Prince Caspian in the movie is GORGEOUS!! I wouldn’t mind kissing him myself if I was there. haha!

Ok ok, back to the movie review. As a movie, it was great, except for one thing. They didn’t follow the book that much. They added in so many scenes, removed a lot of the Christian elements (well, at least the obvious ones. the subtle ones are still there). And of course, they turned C.S. Lewis into a romance writer. tee hee!

Only thing else I can say, GO WATCH IT!

     Marie:

I saw it too; last weekend with my daughter and her friend. Thanks for clearing that up — I couldn’t remember the Susan/Prince C romance thing being in the book, but it’s been over 2 decades since I read it so who knows. CS Lewis was a great author; I LOVED all the Chronicles of Narnia as a kid. I hope they make more films.
