Before you view the following video, let me say a disclaimer. I know many wonderful, smart, intelligent, world-wise, knowledgeable Americans and I do not mean any malice.
However, in my few years in the US, I’ve met a fair share of Americans who knew very little about the world. That was humorous sometimes, frustrating the other times.
So when my colleague sent me this video, I made me think of all those people who thought Singapore was part of China or Japan or India(!) or Africa(!!). Also reminded me of that one person who asked my African classmate if they still lived underground (to which my friend replied, “No. We’ve now moved on to live in trees.”)
So enjoy the following video for what it’s worth – a reflection of some Americans who should go study world geography… or at least watch some international news, like the BBC channel.
